Objective of the Course:

The manager is often faced in his job to choose alternative solutions for a specific problem.  That is to make a decision.  The task to choose one alternative over another is decision making.  The main objective of the course is then to teach the students the decision making process and how to build an intelligent system that helps managers/decision makes in decision making.  The objectives of this course are to

•    define Decision Support Systems (DSS); 
•    understand the benefits of DSS; 
•    grasp the basic components of DSS; 
•    gain an understanding of categories and classes of DSS; and
•    overview Intelligent Decision Support Systems.
